What is Vacation Bible School?

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a time for children to learn about God’s love and what the Bible teaches us (for a few hours each day) during a week-long themed camp. This year the theme is “Nature Reveals God’s Creation.” We will be learning about the 7 Days of Creation and how the nature all around us reveals God’s love and the beauty He has created. A small meal will be provided each evening. We will have a time of worship with song and dance, opportunity to pray together as a whole group and in small groups, and we will divide into a few small groups for interactive teaching about the 7 Days of Creation. Each group will find themselves going on nature walks, collaborating on group art projects, and playing games during the week as the lessons are taught. On the last evening (Friday, July 12th) we will invite families and parents to come and enjoy a meal together; we will perform a song and dance we learned during the week; we will give an overview of what was learned.
