Accessing God's Storehouse
Accessing God’s Storehouse

As you may be  already be aware, the heart is the seat of emotion. In these changing times it is more important than ever to understand our emotions, one emotion that we can learn from is fear. Fear is an emotion that can get the best of us by driving us away from the presence of almighty God. On the other hand when used for its original intent it can elevate you into the very throne room of God, it is the key to unlock the spiritual wealth of heaven.

“Fear is an internal emotion even when you have external drives”

You may ask, how can this be. When we recognize fear is an internal emotion even when you have external drives. For example, if a lion is chasing you down to eat you, triggering the fright and flight response, if you did not have this fear and you did not run, there’s a good chance you will be his dinner, on the other hand, the fear of man, the fear of failure, these are just to name a few of the many fears that can be crippling in our lives.

The first thing we need to recognize is fear is a mechanism for survival it has its place in our life, warning us of danger, but more importantly when you feel this fear it is a protection mechanism for the survival of your ego, as we know our ego will do anything to protect itself.

In this modern day we have allowed this fear to control our lives,  fear is turned into anxiety and unmitigated anxiety has crippled each of us in so many ways, including destroying our health and well-being.  What we need to learn is how turn this type of fear, from the defense of self to the fear of the Lord, elevating the same negative emotions to its intended use intern bringing you to the very throne room of God, as we learn to use the keys Jesus gave us to unlocking the spiritual storehouse of the wealth of heaven.

It is written in Isaiah 33:6 and wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

Fear that is fallen destroys, but when you lift up fear to where it belongs, the fear of the Lord meaning Awe, fear, (of God), respect, reverence, piety you turn your fear from the defence of ego to the worship of God your salvation, and you do this with your emotions as we spoke about earlier.

Fear has two sides like the to sides of a coin, you need to flip it over to the side that is pleasing to the Lord.

As we study Isaiah 33:6 we unlock the blessings of almighty God in our life; the context of this scripture is in trial and tribulation. Isaiah was being prophetic by saying the fear of the Lord is our treasuremeaning storehouse, now your tapping into an incredible source of you faith so it can be nurtured and fed as we realize faith is confidence, let’s look at Hebrews 11:1 now faith is the substance “meaning confidence” of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, in Hebrew “times” means experiences, fortunes.  Isaiah is also saying that wisdom and Knowledge shall be the experiences, fortunes and the strength of our salvation, Wisdom is the word of God and the experiential knowledge is the experience of knowing intimately His love for you, this is not just head knowledge but heart knowledge. It’s really important to understand this, because when you experience Jesus as your salvation then we can understand what the apostle John wrote about in 1 John 4:18-19 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.

So how do we walk through the trials that Isaiah was speaking about?

By using the very fear that cripples us and with the same emotions turn fear over and lift up the Lord our savoir with awe and worship, taping into the storehouse that builds our confidence in Him who is our salvation.
