THE LIFE OF CHRIST

For over 40 years The Community of the Crucified One has remained committed to learning and living the Life of Christ. Not just one day of the week but actively learning to apply biblical principles found in scripture, in our everyday lives. The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 11:1 write’s, “be ye, followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” The roots of our spiritual community stems from the Catholic Charismatic movement of the 60s & 70s. With a tremendous influence from Kathryn Coolman who was called at the tender age of 14 years old to bring Gods Word and healing power to the world, Inturn taking our founder Bishop Edward Donavon under her wing.

As a Christian Spiritual Community, We continue to learn, year after year to have a more intimate relationship with Jesus, our Husband, and maker, As it says in Isaiah 54:5 “For thy Maker is thine Husband; the LORD of hosts is his name, and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel the God of the whole earth shall he be called”.

This Inner walk starts with a desire to have a closer walk with our husband and maker who was willing to give His life on the cross for each of us.
The Community of the Crucified One’s Vision is simple; We are called to go into the highways and byways of life and tell all who will listen that Jesus loves them. When they ask, “How do you know?” We are to point them to the cross and say, “Because He died for you.”

WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE THEN?

We are dedicated to working together to achieve the common goal of living out the life of Christ in our daily lives. That is the purpose of our Spiritual Community that happens to have Church, instead of Church that happens to live in a community. We are called to carrying the message of the Cross announcing the to all who will listen that “Jesus Loves them, and when they ask how do we know, we are to point them to the Cross”.

Jesus gave His life for all, opening the door for each of us to become His Brides and Priest of the New and everlasting covenant He willing ratified on the Cross. Paul writes in Colossians 1:20 “having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.” We are to live and teach this order that Jesus gave his life for.
