The Word > The Orphan's Heart Ability to Trust Authority
While it's fresh in my mind I just have to comment on Fr. Paul's message this morning about the orphan's heart ability to trust authority. We have all experienced rejection in our lives-usually from our parents or some authority figure-and it keeps us from trusting any other authority figures in our present life. Ultimately, this kind of attitude keeps us from trusting what God's purpose and plan is for our lives.
2 Chronicles 2:20 speaks to this when we can't accept what the man of God in our life is saying to us.
Please listen to the entire message from Feb. 14th - I was reminded about how I went through the process of forgiving my own dad many years ago. It was only through the power of the Holy Spirit and believing that God could change my heart toward him that I was able to forgive my dad and begin a whole new relationship with him. I sat in tears after this Bible study because I miss my dad so much. My bonus blessing is that he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior just weeks before he passed away. Amen.
If you need someone to pray with you about a relationship or situation that you just can't get past or can't forgive - I'd love to pray with you! Love, Sr. Abigail
